Vaid Estate and Landholding is over in Udyog Vihar Phase III. We are on Plot 484-485. This part of Gurgaon is very industrial. There are factories and big offices all around us. It can get pretty loud with the trucks and the construction. Our office is a practical space where we deal with land holdings. It’s mostly about managing large pieces of property and making sure the titles are clear. We don't have much in the way of decoration. It’s just tables, chairs, and stacks of blueprints and maps. We spend a lot of time out in the sun, actually looking at the land we’re talking about. It’s dusty work. We aren't the type to sit in air conditioning all day if there’s a site to visit. We’ve got a small team that has been together for years. We know the land laws in Haryana pretty well, but we still have to look things up sometimes because they change so much. It’s not a glamorous job. We deal with a lot of legal jargon and surveyor reports. We just focus on the task at hand. If we aren't in the office, we’re probably out at one of the plots. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. The tea stall around the corner is where we get most of our news about the area. We tend to stay late when the paperwork piles up too high.
