Working out of Plot No. 286 in Udyog Vihar Phase II is pretty standard for an industrial area like this one in Gurgaon. It is a big plot, and we have been here for a good while. The surroundings are mostly other offices and factories, so there isn't much in the way of scenery, just a lot of grey buildings and paved roads. We deal with heavy engineering and project management stuff at Paul Wurth India Pvt. Ltd. Inside the building, it feels like a place where things actually get built or planned. There is a lot of back and forth between different departments. We don’t have much use for fancy decorations; the focus is more on the equipment and the schedules we have to follow. The lunchroom is where most of the actual news gets shared among the staff over a quick meal. Phase II can get really crowded during the morning commute, so most of us try to get in early to avoid the worst of the traffic on the highway. It’s a functional space. We have our meetings, we check our emails, and we look at the progress of the various projects we have going on. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit for fun, but for us, it is where we spend most of our waking hours. We just try to keep things organized and make sure we aren't falling behind. It is just a regular engineering office doing its bit.
