It is a bit funny because the name says Australia, but we are right here at 121, Sec 15 in Gurgaon. This McDonald's stays moving pretty much twenty-four hours a day. If you live in the 122001 area, you probably know the corner well. We spend our shifts flipping burgers, dropping fries into the oil, and trying to keep the dining area from looking like a disaster zone. Kids are always running around and dropping things, so we stay busy with the mops. The lunch rush is the most intense part of the day, where everyone wants their food in two minutes and the kitchen is sweating to keep up. It is a lot of noise, with the beeping of the fryers and the orders being shouted out. We have a mix of young staff and some older folks who have been here for years. It is not high-end dining, but it is reliable, and people know exactly what they are getting when they walk through the door. Sometimes the ice cream machine acts up, which is never fun to explain to a line of people, but we just deal with it. The parking lot gets crowded in the evenings, and we have to keep an eye on things out there too. It is just a standard fast-food job in a busy part of Gurgaon, keeping people fed and moving on with their day.
