Darbar Food Place

Darbar Food Place is just a small shop over at Sector 15 in Gurgaon. We’re tucked away at Shop No 3, right near the Rose Garden in Part 1. Most days start pretty early when the sun is coming up over the trees in the garden. You can hear the birds and the people walking their dogs before the city traffic really kicks in. Being in Sector 15 means we see a lot of the same faces every day. It’s mostly folks living nearby or people working in the offices around here who just want a quick bite to eat. The shop isn’t very big, so things can get a bit crowded around lunch time. We’ve got a few tables and chairs, and it gets pretty noisy when everyone is talking at once. Sometimes the fans are clicking away, and the smell of cooking hangs in the air even when it’s quiet. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s just a place to sit down and eat. Being so close to the Rose Garden is nice because we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, though in the summer it just stays hot everywhere. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the rush and getting things ready for the next day. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. The neighbors around Shop 3 are all pretty friendly too. We’ve been here for a while and just keep doing what we do every day.
