Dabba Meat

Dabba Meat is set up in DLF Phase 4 along Galleria Road. If you know the area, we are right across from Hamilton Court. It’s a good spot in Gurgaon because there is always something going on. We spend most of our time dealing with the meat and getting the dabbas ready for people. The shop is pretty simple. We have our counters and the space where we prep everything. It’s not a fancy restaurant with waiters in suits. It’s more of a local place where people come to get their food and go, or wait around for a bit. The road outside can get very packed, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home to DLF City Phase IV. We have a few staff members who have been with us since the start. We don't really do much marketing or anything like that. We just focus on the work right in front of us. The smell of the cooking is what usually lets people know we are there. We see a lot of people from Hamilton Court and the surrounding apartments. We start our day early to get the fresh stock in and get things cleaned up. By the time the dinner rush starts, things get pretty hectic and we are all moving fast. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until night. We just try to keep the counters clean and the dabbas moving out the door.
