Our place is located out at Narsingpur, right on the Delhi Jaipur Highway. If you’re driving past, you’ll probably see the Haldiram nearby, which is the main landmark we tell everyone to look for. Carrier Air Conditioning & Refregeration Ltd. sits near the Kherki Doula Post, and the highway noise is pretty much constant. It’s a big area, and we handle a lot of cooling and refrigeration equipment here. The dust from the road tends to find its way inside no matter how much we clean. The office is functional. We have rows of desks and a lot of filing cabinets filled with technical manuals. It’s not a quiet library type of place. There’s always someone talking about a delivery or a technical issue with a unit. Working near the highway means we see a lot of people coming and going. The sun can be really bright out here in the afternoons, hitting the front windows. We keep busy with the logistics of moving large cooling units. It’s a lot of physical work combined with office tasks. We don’t bother with corporate slogans or fancy mission statements on the walls. We just show up, deal with the heat, and make sure the refrigeration stuff is handled correctly. It’s a long day sometimes, especially with the commute, but that’s just how it goes at this location. We just try to keep the gears turning every day.
