Stonemart International

Stonemart International is located at C95 in the Carlton Estate area. It’s an interesting place to work because it’s tucked away in a spot that feels more like a community than just a business district. Our office isn't very large, but it’s packed with samples and paperwork from years of doing this. We spend a lot of time checking on shipments and making sure the inventory matches what the records say. It’s easy to lose track of time when you are busy with the details. The building has its quirks, like the way the door sticks in the winter or how the hallway lights flicker sometimes. We don't mind it much. Most of the people working here have been around for a while, so we are like a small family. We share snacks in the afternoon and talk about our families or what we are doing for the holidays. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment. We just want to get our work done and go home to our lives. Being in Carlton Estate means we have to be mindful of the neighbors, so we try not to make too much noise when we are moving things around. It’s a quiet, steady way to run a business. We don't have big signs or flashy lights, just our name on the door and a lot of work to do. We sometimes forget to restock the coffee, so someone has to run out. It’s just a simple place where we try to stay busy.
