Umvr Agro Farmer Producer Company

Our group is over at Manju’s house near the Kuyan Khewar area in Ambedkar Nagar. It is a pretty straightforward setup. We didn’t see the point in renting a fancy office when we could just use the space we already had. We are all from around here and we know the land in Uttar Pradesh pretty well. Most of us have spent our whole lives dealing with the heat and the dust. We formed this company to help move our products together instead of everyone doing it alone. It makes the transport cheaper and we have a bit more say in things. The office is just a place to store some bags and keep the folders. There is usually someone sitting there to answer questions or help fill out the forms that the government wants. It is a bit messy sometimes but that is because we are actually working. We don't spend money on things we don't need. We would rather the money go back to the people who are actually growing the food. It is a tough life being a farmer but having this group makes it a little bit better. We talk about the crops, the pests, and the prices every single day. There isn't much else to it. We are just regular people trying to do right by our families and our community.
