Doab Agro Farmer Producer Company

We are located over at Kalavnt Singh’s place in Bokariyateleyar. It is just a small setup where a few of us from the local area got together to figure out the farm stuff. Most days you will find someone hanging around talking about the prices or the weather. We started this because doing everything on your own is getting harder every year. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a room with some chairs and a lot of paperwork on the desk. We handle the crops that the local farmers grow and try to make sense of the market. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside. It is a group effort really. Nobody here wears a suit. We are usually in our work clothes because there is always something to move or check on in the fields nearby. We don't have a big staff, just some family and neighbors who know the land. If you come by, you might have to wait a bit if we are out back. We try to keep things simple and honest. Life in the Doab region is mostly about the soil and the seasons, so that is what we focus on. We don’t have any big speeches. We just want to make sure the work gets done and everyone gets a fair shake at the end of the day when the harvest is in.
