Rawatpar Farmer Producer Company Limited

You can find us over in Rawatpur, Gorakhpur. We operate right out of Om Prakash’s place. It is a local setup for the farmers in this part of Gorakhpur. Most of us have been farming since we were just kids, so the routine is well known to everyone here. We put this company together so we could have a bit more say in how our products are sold and managed. It is a lot of work, and some days are definitely better than others. Gorakhpur can get quite hot in the summer, so the main meetings usually happen early in the morning before it gets too bad. No polished brochures or big marketing ideas are used here. We just know agriculture from the ground up. People drop in to see Om Prakash and talk about their yields or their problems. We try to keep things honest and very simple. There is no corporate ladder here, just a bunch of neighbors working toward the same goal for their families. Getting the crops out and making sure the people here can keep going for another year is what matters most. The office is just a room with some chairs and a table, but it serves our purpose well enough. We like being part of the Rawatpur community and doing our bit to keep the local farms running as they should. We have been here for a long time and plan to stay for many more years as we continue to work the land.
