About St. Xavier'S Public School – Education in Gorakhpur
We are tucked away in Kazakpur, right across from Taramandal and not far from Bhagat Chauraha. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always something going on outside our walls. The school is a busy place too. From the moment the first students arrive until the last one leaves, it’s a constant stream of activity in the halls. We have the usual setup of classrooms spread across the building. It’s an older structure, so it has a lot of character, though it needs repairs now and then to keep it looking okay. We don't have a lot of high-tech gadgets or computer labs in every corner. We use traditional teaching methods because that’s what we know works for the students. The teachers focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure no one falls too far behind. During the breaks, the courtyard is full of kids running around and eating their lunches out of tin boxes. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we make it work for everyone. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big speeches or fancy brochures. We are just a local school where kids come to learn their lessons. Most of our students live within walking distance or a short rickshaw ride away. It feels like a neighborhood spot. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the lessons are taught and the kids are safe while they are with us.
