You can find us at 9-C, Mt Shahi Marg in Gorakhpur. It’s a fairly central location, so we’re right in the middle of the city’s hustle. The street outside can get pretty cramped with rickshaws and motorbikes, especially when school lets out. Our building is a solid, tall structure that has been part of this street for a long time. When you walk in, you’ll notice the stairs are a bit worn from all the students going up and down over the years. We don’t have much in the way of big gardens, but we make use of every bit of space we have. The classrooms are filled with wooden benches and desks where kids sit for hours working on their notes. It’s a loud place, full of the sound of voices and the occasional bell. The teachers are mostly people from around Gorakhpur who have been with us for quite a while. We go about our work in a very straightforward way. There aren't any flashy gadgets in every corner; it’s mostly just books, blackboards, and a lot of talking. We have our fair share of busy days with exams and parent meetings, which can get a bit stressful, but that’s just how school life goes. We focus on the basics and try to keep things organized. It’s a local school where everyone knows what to expect when they walk through the gates on Mt Shahi Marg.
