Down in Mughalpur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our school is tucked away here in the Post Chargawan area, and it has been a part of this neighborhood for years. You won't find any big flashing signs or expensive gadgets in the hallway. Instead, we have solid wooden benches and windows that we prop open when the afternoon gets too warm. The walk to the school is pretty quiet, mostly just local folks going about their business. Most of the kids who come here are from families who have lived in Chargawan for generations. We see the same faces every day, and we know who belongs to which house. The building itself is older, with thick walls that stay cool even when the sun is beating down on the roof. During the rainy season, the yard gets a bit muddy, but the kids don't seem to mind one bit. We spend our mornings doing the usual stuff, like checking uniforms and making sure the registers are filled out correctly. It’s a lot of paperwork, but that is just how it goes. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local school doing what we can with what we have. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just keep teaching by the light from the windows. It is just regular life for us. We enjoy the peace of this area and the people who live here.
