Nayasavera Kisanseva Producer Company Limited is located in village Jewan. It’s part of the Powayan Tehsil in Shahjahanpur. We work out of Balwinder Singh’s place, which serves as our main point of contact. Being in a village like Jewan means we are right in the heart of the farming community. We don’t have a high-rise office or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us sitting outside or in a small room with some files. We started this to help the local farmers get organized and have a bit more say in things. Shahjahanpur is a big agricultural area, and we felt like a collective was the best way to move forward for everyone. It’s not always a smooth process. We make mistakes and learn as we go. The language we use is just plain English or the local tongue, nothing fancy at all. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just have work to finish. People in 242401 know us as their neighbors first. We try to be useful and keep things honest. Some days are just about filling out forms and others are about being in the fields. It’s a bit of a mix. We’re just regular people trying to make a living and help our community do the same. We hope things keep getting better for all of us here in the village.
