Maata Tila Farmer Producer Companylimited

We are located at Rama Jha’s place in Toran Pradhan Colony, which is right in the Talbehat area of Lalitpur. We are basically a bunch of farmers from around here who decided to form Maata Tila Farmer Producer Companylimited. It isn't some fancy corporate setup with glass windows and desks. It’s just a simple room where we get together to talk about the crops and how to handle the latest issues with the soil or the weather. Being in Lalitpur, you know how tough the sun can be and how the water isn't always there when you need it. We try to help each other out with seeds and tools. Sometimes the meetings get a bit long and everyone has their own opinion on how things should be done, but that’s just how it is with locals. We are not trying to be some big shot business from the city. We are just regular people trying to make a living from the land. It’s hard work and the paperwork for the government is always a bit of a headache for us, but we are learning. We don’t have any marketing people or a big budget. We just have our fields and our neighbors. It’s a slow process getting everyone to work together, but we are making it happen one day at a time. We just want to make sure our families are okay and the harvest is enough.
