Krishang Fish Farming Producer Company Limited is based out of Gaddopur Mutakallipur, at Archana’s place. We decided to focus on fish farming because there’s plenty of water and opportunity around here if you know what you’re doing. It’s different from regular crop farming, and it has its own set of headaches. You have to watch the water levels and the feed very carefully. A group of us got together to make the whole process of buying fingerlings and selling the grown fish a bit smoother. We aren't experts with degrees; we just have years of experience doing the work. The setup at Gaddopur Mutakallipur is where we handle the business side of things. It's pretty informal. You might find us sitting around drinking tea and talking about pond maintenance or the price of fish in the city markets. It’s a lot of physical labor, and things don't always go according to plan. Sometimes the fish don't grow as fast as we'd like, or the weather gets too hot. But being part of this company means we can share the costs and the risks.
