Kkc Amawan Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Bahadur Nagar, specifically in the Amawan block of Raebareli. We work out of Ram Keval’s place. Raebareli is a place where farming is everything to the people. We started this company because it is better to work as a group than on your own. Most days you will find us sitting around discussing the local crops and the soil. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any personal assistants. It’s just a house where we keep the books and meet up to talk. The roads in Bahadur Nagar can be a bit rough after the monsoon, but we manage to get around. Ram Keval keeps things organized as best as he can. We have a lot of members from the Amawan block who come in to talk about their harvests. Sometimes the meetings go on for a long time because everyone has an opinion on how things should be done. We don't use big words or have complicated plans. We just want to make sure the farmers in our area have a place to come together and help each other. It’s a local effort, run by people who live right here in the neighborhood. We aren't looking to expand all over the place. We just care about what happens in our own fields and with our neighbors. It is honest work, even if it is dusty and tiring most of the time. We just keep going.
