Our group is located in a place called Jungle Mathiya in the Sadar area of Gorakhpur. It’s managed by Om Prakash Paswan and it’s basically just a bunch of us farmers from the village. Gorakhpur has a lot of farming going on and we wanted to be a part of that in a more organized way. Being a farmer producer company helps us when we need to buy supplies or when we are looking to sell what we’ve grown. It’s hard to do that by yourself when you have a small plot of land. We are just regular people who work in the dirt every day. It’s not a glamorous life but it’s what we do. Our office is just a simple spot in the village. We don't have a lot of workers, just the local farmers who are members. If you come looking for us at 273202, you’ll likely find us busy with the current crop. We deal with the stuff that grows well in this part of Uttar Pradesh. Sometimes the rain is too much and sometimes it's not enough, but we manage. We just wanted a way to make sure our families might have a better time with farming than we did in the past. It’s all about the community here in Jungle Mathiya. We keep things plain and simple because that’s what works for us in this part of the world. No fancy talk, just hard work.
