Gauraiya Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Gorakhpur. Our address is over at Ramchandra’s place in Alamchak. This is a local company made up of farmers from the area. We chose the name Gauraiya because it is a local bird we see around here. Gorakhpur is where we all live and work every day. We do not have a flashy office. It is just a room at Ramchandra’s where we keep the books and meet up. Being a farmer producer company means we are trying to do things for ourselves. We do not want to rely on middle men too much. Alamchak is a small spot, so everyone knows what we are doing. We spend our time talking about the soil, the seeds, and what the market is doing. It is not a polished operation. Sometimes the meetings go long because everyone has a different opinion on how to do things. But that is how it works when you have real people involved. We are not trying to sell you anything fancy. We just produce what we grow and try to do it right. Uttar Pradesh is a big state, but our focus is right here in our own village. We keep the English simple because we are simple people. We just want to get through the season and make sure everyone in the company is doing okay. It is just life for us.
