About Divine Public School – Education in Gorakhpur
If you know where the PAC Camp is in Bichhia, then you’ve likely seen Divine Public School. We’re right nearby in that same area. It’s a plain place, really. We have a few trees in the front that provide some shade when the sun is beating down on the concrete. The building itself is sturdy and has plenty of windows to let the air in. We don't spend money on big signs or polished advertisements. Usually, people find out about us from their neighbors or just by passing by on the street. Inside, the hallways are narrow and the walls have some drawings pinned up here and there. It feels like a real school, not a corporate office. The kids bring their own lunches and you can smell the food around noon. We have a small office where the paperwork gets handled, and it's always stacked with files. The ground outside is mostly dirt, so it gets a bit dusty in the summer and a bit muddy when the monsoon hits. That’s just life in Bichhia. We focus on the books and making sure the students know their lessons. It’s not a perfect place, but it serves its purpose for the local community. We don't have a big auditorium, so we mostly gather in the courtyard for any small events or morning announcements. The staff stays busy with the usual things like organizing notebooks and checking the daily attendance lists.
