We've been working here in Bijuwa Deoria for a bit now. Our group, Chaudhari Shitesh Kumar Singh Farmer Producer Company Limited, is really just a bunch of us locals coming together. We operate out of Jagmohan Lal’s place, he’s Mool Chand’s son. It's right in Gola, Kheri. Farming is what everyone around here knows. It's hard work, getting up early and dealing with the weather in Uttar Pradesh. We started this because doing things alone is tough. When you have a group, you can figure out seeds and tools better. Some days are slow and others are packed with stuff to do in the fields. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It’s mostly just meeting up and talking about what needs to get planted or sold. The mail comes to the village address here in Kheri. People know where to find us if they need to talk about the crops. Sometimes the rain helps, sometimes it doesn't, but we keep going. It's a simple setup. We try to keep track of what the different farms are doing so we can move things along. It’s not a big corporate thing, just a local company run by people who live right here. We've got the 262802 area covered as best as we can. It’s just how things work in this part of Gola. We spend a lot of time just talking over tea about which crops are doing well this season and which ones are struggling with the bugs. It’s a lot of back and forth.
