Bhadiya Farmer Producer Company Limited is our little group based in Siptapur, Sultanpur. Braj Kishor is the one who handles a lot of the paperwork, but we all do the heavy lifting. We’ve been farming these parts for a long time. Siptapur is where we live and work, so we care about what happens here. Our office, if you can call it that, is just a simple setup where we meet to figure out the season’s plan. We aren't looking to impress anyone with big words. We just want to make sure the harvest goes well and we can sell what we grow. Farming in Sultanpur has its own set of challenges, like the heat and getting water to the right places at the right time. We spend a lot of time just talking to each other about what’s working and what isn't. It’s an honest way to live, even if it doesn't make us rich. We don't have a marketing department. If you want to know about us, you just come down to Siptapur and see the fields. We’re usually out there somewhere. We try to keep things straightforward and avoid making things more complicated than they need to be. It’s just about working the land and trying to stay organized as a group so we have a bit more say in how things are done. That’s pretty much the whole story.
