It’s not a corporate office like you see in the big cities. It’s more like a meeting room where we sit on plastic chairs and go over the accounts for the month. We deal with everything from buying seeds to selling the final harvest to the traders. Sometimes it’s a struggle to get everything lined up, especially with the transport and the unpredictable weather in Bansd. We just do our best to keep things moving along. There’s no big boss here, just a group of us trying to make the farming life a bit more stable for everyone involved. We spend our days checking on the fields and then coming back to the house to update the records and talk shop. It's a lot of work and sometimes we get behind on the typing and the filing. But the crops don't wait for paperwork. We are proud of what we do here in Ballia. It's a simple operation and we like keeping it that way.
