This is Bahurawan Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located in Vill & Post Dehariyawa, which is in Musafirkhana, Sultanpur. Jagjeevan Prasad Maury’s place is where we usually coordinate everything. Life in Sultanpur revolves around the farming cycles. We’ve got a good group of local people here. We started this because doing everything solo was getting too tough. When you’re small, nobody listens to you at the market. Now that we’re together, we can organize our harvests better. The village is peaceful, though getting transport in and out can be a chore sometimes. We grow what’s typical for this part of Uttar Pradesh. Wheat in the winter, rice in the monsoon. We talk a lot about the weather, of course. If the rains are late, we all worry together. It’s a lot of manual work. We don't have big machines for everything yet. Our office is just a practical space with some chairs and a desk where we keep our registers. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity; we’re just neighbors trying to help each other out with the farming business. It’s honest work. Sometimes we disagree on things, but we always find a way to settle it. Being part of this group gives us a little more strength when it comes to buying fertilizer or selling our grain. We hope it stays this way for the coming years.
