Abhiaditi Krishak Utthan Producer Company Limited is located in the Krishna Nagar neighborhood of Bhongaon, Mainpuri. We use Vir Bahadur’s place as our home base. It is a bit different being near the town area, but our hearts and our work are all in the fields surrounding the district. We brought a few dozen local farmers together because we were tired of being taken advantage of at the mandi. Now, we try to collect our produce and sell it in larger batches. It is a lot of running around, especially when the harvest is coming in all at once. Vir Bahadur helps us keep track of who brought what and where it is going. We don't have a lot of polished speeches. We talk about real things like the cost of diesel and why the electricity for the pumps is so unreliable. Some days are frustrating, but seeing the group grow makes it worth it. We focus on getting quality seeds for the members. The office is usually cluttered with bags and ledgers, but we know where everything is. Mainpuri has a lot of potential, and we are just trying to do our part to make sure the farmers get a fair shake. It is a simple life, but it is ours. We don't need anything fancy, just a bit of cooperation and some good rain to keep the fields green and our families fed for the year.
