Langarpur Farmer Producer Company Limited is centered right here in the Paharpur and Longgarpur area. Usha Devi’s place is where we usually gather to discuss what needs to be done. We are just a bunch of local farmers who decided that working as a group was smarter than going it alone. Most of us have been working these fields since we were kids, so we know the land pretty well. There’s a lot of mud and sweat involved in what we do every day. We don’t use any complicated words for our business. We just grow things and try to get a fair price for them. Sometimes the market is tough and the prices go down, but having each other helps. We share advice on what works and what doesn't. If someone's tractor breaks down, there is usually a neighbor nearby to help out. Our office is basically a room with some chairs and a lot of registers. We spend a lot of time looking at the clouds, hoping for rain at the right moment. It's a quiet life in 233001, but it's ours. We aren't looking to become some massive corporation. We just want our families to be okay and our fields to stay green. Every season brings a new set of challenges, but we just take them one day at a time. It’s just us, the soil, and the crops, trying to make it work.
