Bharauli Bahuuadeshiya Krishak Producer Company Limited is based in the village of Barhauli Kalan in Ghazipur. We have a long name, but we are just a simple group of farmers from around the Mohammedabad area. We started this because we wanted to have more of a say in how our produce gets handled. Usually, we just take whatever price is offered, but as a group, we can be a bit more organized. The "bahuuadeshiya" part just means we try to handle different kinds of farming tasks to help everyone in the village. It is not an easy job and we don't have any fancy equipment or big desks. Most of our business is done right there in the village or at the post Barhauli Kalan office area. We are people who have lived in Uttar Pradesh all our lives and we know how tough it can be when the market prices drop or the rain doesn't come. We don't have a big team of experts. We just have each other and the knowledge passed down from our parents. We spend our time checking the fields and talking to the other members about what seeds are working. It’s a lot of physical labor and sometimes we get tired, but we keep at it. We are just a local bunch trying to do things the right way and help our neighbors get by in the farming business.
