Our spot is over at Rai House on Kasimabad Road. Most of us here in Ghazipur have been farming for a long time, so we decided to start this company. It gets really hot here in the summer months, and that makes the field work quite hard for everyone. Ram Autar Rai helps keep things organized at the 74/113 address. We aren't doing anything fancy or special, just trying to sell what we grow without running into too many problems. Sometimes the rains don't come when they should, and that messes everything up for the season. We meet up often and talk about which seeds worked and which were just a waste of money. It is mostly just neighbors helping each other out with the heavy lifting. You can usually find someone around the house if you need to talk about the crops. We don't have a big fancy office with any air conditioning. It is just a regular place where we keep our papers and talk. Farming is tough, but having this producer company helps a bit with getting better prices for our harvest. We started with just a few local families. Now there are more of us involved. We try to keep things simple and not get too caught up in complicated business stuff. If you walk down Kasimabad Road, you'll see how we live and work. It’s a lot of dust and hard labor, but it’s our life. We don’t really have a big plan other than keeping the farms going.
