The Desi Hut

If you find yourself over in Vijay Nagar, specifically Sec12 in the Pratap Vihar MS-2 area, that is where we are. The Desi Hut is just a small operation. We didn't start this with some big plan to change the world. We just needed a way to make a living and we liked cooking. The space isn't very large, so things can get a bit cramped when it's raining or during the lunch rush. We do our own cleaning and shopping for the ingredients every couple of days. You’ll see us carrying boxes in from the street most mornings. It’s a lot of manual labor, but it keeps us busy. We don’t spend much time on the internet or doing fancy ads. Most folks who come in are just living nearby or working in the local shops. We try to keep the chairs comfortable enough, though they’ve seen better days. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually. We just focus on getting the orders out on time. Sometimes we run out of things if the market was short that day, but we just tell people how it is. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. It’s just a hut in Sec12 where you can get something to eat. We hope the food tastes like home to you because that’s what we aim for when we’re back there in the kitchen.
