You can find us over in Pararia village, which is part of the Tekari block in Gaya. Naval Kishor Prasad handles the main parts of the business here at Family Kissan Foods Private Limited. We chose the name because we really are focused on the local farming families in this part of Bihar. Panchanpur is the nearest post office, so that’s our link to the rest of the world. Life in the village moves at its own pace, and we like it that way. We aren’t a giant factory or anything like that. Most of what we do involves working with the food grown right in these fields. It’s a practical setup. We have our storage and our small workspace where we get everything ready. Sometimes the rain makes the roads to Pararia a bit muddy, but we manage. We’ve been living here for a long time, so we know all the farmers in the Tekari area. It’s about being a part of the community more than anything else. We don’t use big words to explain ourselves. We just process the food and make sure it’s handled properly before it leaves the village. If you’re ever near Gaya and head towards the Panchanpur side, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s just a group of people doing what they know best, which is looking after the food that comes from our own ground and our neighbors' soil. Every season is different, but we stay busy throughout.
