Bhumiputra Kranti Producer Company Limited is located in the village of Kanchhedwa. We operate out of Deo Dutt’s place. It’s a small village and we are a small company, which is how we like it. The name means "sons of the soil," and that pretty much describes everyone involved here. We grew up playing in these fields and now we’re the ones farming them. The office is very basic, just a room with some files and a place to sit. We don't have any computers that work half the time, so we rely on our notebooks and our memories. It’s a quiet spot, mostly just the sound of the birds and the occasional tractor passing by. We started this because we saw how hard it was for individual farmers to get anything done. By working together, we can at least share the load a little bit. We don’t have any fancy marketing plans or a professional staff. It’s just a few of us who decided to step up and try to organize things better. The weather hasn't been very kind lately, so we spend a lot of time talking about the lack of rain. It’s a tough way to make a living, but we don't know any other way. We’re just local people trying to make the most of what we have here in Kanchhedwa. It isn't much, but it’s home and it’s our life.
