You can find us over in Madanpur, which is in the Aurangabad district. Maa Umangeshwari Agro is a group we put together to help the farmers right here in our village. Madanpur is a place where agriculture is the main thing everyone does. We didn't want to have to rely on people from far away to tell us how to run our business. So, we started this company ourselves. It’s located right in the village, so it is easy for anyone to walk in and talk. We don't have fancy furniture or a secretary. Usually, someone is just sitting there with a notebook and a phone. We talk about the weather, the prices of grain, and who needs help with their tractor. It is very informal but we get things done. Aurangabad can be a tough place to farm sometimes because of the heat, but we are used to it. We just want to make sure the people in our block get a fair deal for their hard work. There is no corporate talk here. We just speak plain English and regional languages. We are just a bunch of farmers from Madanpur trying to look out for each other. It’s a lot of physical work and some paperwork, but it is our life. We spend more time in the dirt than in the office, and that is probably for the best for everyone involved.
