Wazirganj Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited

Out here in Khajuri, near Kenarchatty in the Wazirganj area of Gaya, farming is pretty much what everyone does. We set up Wazirganj Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited to help manage the local harvests. It is not some big corporate thing; it is just us farmers from the village trying to get a fair shake. The roads around here can be a bit rough during the monsoon, but we manage to get the work done. We spend a lot of time talking about the crops and making sure everyone has what they need for the season. Being based in Bihar, we deal with the heat and the changing seasons just like our fathers did. We are registered over at the Khajuri location, which is where we do most of our planning. It’s mostly about getting the seeds in the ground and hoping for a good turnout when it’s time to cut the grain. There is always someone around to lend a hand if a tractor gets stuck or if the grain bags are too heavy to move alone. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. Usually, it is just a few of us sitting in the shade or near the police station area in Wazirganj, figuring out the logistics for the week. It’s a simple way of living, focused on the soil and the hard work it takes to grow things and keep the local community moving forward.
