Sangeeth Granites

Our place is in Kondappa Naicken Palayam, which is out near D.G. Pudur. If you are coming from Sathyamangalam, it’s a bit of a drive through the Erode district. We’ve been out here for a while now. The location is quiet, which is nice for a change, though the trucks make plenty of noise when they arrive. We deal with granite from the local quarries and some from further away too. It’s mostly about managing the stock we have on hand. The yard is usually full of slabs leaning against each other. You have to be careful walking between them. We have a small shed where we keep the tools and take our tea breaks. The guys who work here are mostly from the nearby villages. They know the stone well. We don't have any fancy brochures or sales talk. If a builder needs stone for a floor or a counter, they just come by and see what we have in the stacks. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, especially during the monsoon when everything gets slippery. We have to be extra careful then. It’s a basic setup, really. We just focus on the stone and making sure it gets to where it needs to go without breaking. Erode has a lot of stone businesses, but we just stay in our corner and do our own thing day by day.
