Kongunadu Granite Resources

We are located at 14, V.O.C. Nagar in Chithode, which is a place most people around here know for its steady pace. The shop is basically a big yard where we keep all the granite slabs lined up against the walls. It’s a lot of heavy work, moving these pieces around so people can see the patterns. We don't have a big fancy office, just a small space to sit down and talk about what's needed for a floor or a kitchen. Usually, you’ll find us out back checking the stock or helping a driver load up a truck. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, making the polished surfaces quite bright. We spend a good amount of time washing off the dust that blows in from the road. Chithode is a busy area, so there is always noise from the traffic passing by. We have different types of stone, some rough and some smooth, and we just tell people the truth about what each one is like to work with. If a slab has a small crack or a weird spot, we point it out. It’s better that way. Most of our days are spent measuring things out and making sure the cuts are what they should be. It’s a simple life here at number 14. We know our neighbors and they know us by the sound of the stone being moved.
