S. N. I. Granites

You can find S. N. I. Granites right on Uthu Kuli Main Road at number 777. It’s a busy road with lots of trucks passing by all day long. We have a lot of granite slabs standing up in rows, and they take up a lot of space. It’s a physical job, moving those heavy pieces of stone around. We use a lot of water for the cutting and polishing, so the ground is often a bit wet and messy. We don't wear suits or anything like that; we’re usually in work clothes that end up getting stained. The noise from the traffic outside mixes with the sound of our machinery. It’s not a place for a quiet chat, that’s for sure. We started this because we knew a bit about stone and there was a need for it around here. We’ve seen the road get busier over the years as more shops opened up. Sometimes we just sit on a stool near the entrance and watch the cars go by when things are slow. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to sell our granite and make enough to keep going. It’s a simple life, really. The slabs are heavy, the days are long, but we’ve got a good routine down now. We just do the work that needs doing and go home tired. It is not always easy but we have been doing it for years now and we know the trade well.
