G R Stone Impex

Out here in Theethampalayam Village, things are a bit slower than in the city, but the work at G R Stone Impex is still heavy. We are surrounded by a lot of open space, which is good because we need it for all the stone we store. Being in a village means we know most of the people who pass by our gates. Our main focus is just handling the stone blocks and slabs that come through. We don't have a fancy office building, just a small shed where we keep our tools and take our breaks. The ground is usually covered in stone chips and dust. We spend our days loading tractors and trucks. It’s a lot of manual labor, and we often have to deal with the weather, whether it’s pouring rain or extreme heat. We don't try to make the place look like something it isn't. It’s a working stone yard. We get up, we move stone, and we go home. Sometimes we deal with export orders, which means a lot more paperwork and making sure the crates are sturdy enough for a long trip across the ocean. But mostly, it’s just the daily grind of checking the quality of the rock and making sure the machines are greased. It’s a quiet life out here, apart from the noise of the stone being moved and the occasional truck horn. We enjoy the fresh air even if the work is tiring. It keeps us active and grounded in the village life.
