We’ve been here at 240 Perundurai Road for a good while now. You can’t really miss us if you’re looking for Ambala Auto because we are right opposite that. It’s a busy stretch of road and there is always something going on outside the gate. Most days start pretty early around here with the guys getting the yard ready and checking what we have left in stock. We deal with a lot of heavy granite slabs and marble pieces, so things can get a bit noisy when the trucks are coming in or out. It’s hard work, mostly lifting and making sure nothing gets chipped, but we’re used to it. People stop by all the time asking about different colors or how much a square foot costs. We don’t have fancy brochures or anything like that. We just show you what is sitting on the racks. Sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, so we spend a lot of time just spraying down the slabs so folks can actually see the patterns in the stone. It’s a local business through and through. We know most of the people around here and they know where to find us. If you’re coming down Perundurai Road, just look for the big pieces of stone leaning against the walls. We are usually out there somewhere near the entrance, probably moving something or talking to a driver who’s trying to park. It’s just how we keep things going.
