Rajagiri Public School

Our school is on the Rajagiri Campus over in Kalamasseri. It’s a fairly large area with a lot of trees and space. Since we are in the Rajagiri Po area, most people know exactly where to find us. The campus has a lot of history and other buildings around, so it feels like a big community. We have our own section for the public school. The building is solid and has plenty of windows to let in the light. It gets quite green and lush during the monsoon months, which is nice but also means we have to clear away a lot of leaves. We have a lot of students, so the hallways get pretty crowded between bells. We don't have any of those fancy modern slogans. We just follow the schedule and try to keep things moving. The teachers here have been around for years. We eat lunch in the common areas and talk about the kids. It’s a lot of work keeping a place this size clean and functional. Sometimes the plumbing needs work or we have to fix the roof after a heavy storm. We just take care of it ourselves. It’s a grounded kind of place. We focus on the books and the daily classes without making a big fuss about things. It’s been this way for a long time and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the campus life.
