Providence Academy

Providence Academy is situated right at Kunjattukara Junction in Edathala. If you’re familiar with the area, we are very close to the Kunjattukavu Bhagavathy Temple. That’s usually the best way to explain our location to people who haven’t visited before. We are in Ernakulam, but out in the 683561 zip code area. Our setup is pretty basic. We have a few rooms where we hold our classes and sessions. It’s a local place for local people. On festival days, it gets quite busy around the temple, and we can hear the music and the crowds from our windows. Most days, however, it’s just the normal sound of traffic passing through the junction. We focus on teaching the subjects that students find difficult. We aren’t trying to be a big corporate school; we are just a small academy helping out the neighborhood. The furniture is simple and the walls aren't covered in expensive decorations. We think the learning part is more important than how the building looks. Students from around Edathala come here after their regular school hours. It’s a familiar routine for us now. We open up in the morning and stay until everyone has finished their work for the day. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or a bit of dust from the road, but we just keep going. It’s an honest living and we enjoy being part of this specific community near the temple.
