Fact Township High School

Fact Township High School is right in the middle of Udyogamandal, over in Eloor. This whole area has a bit of an industrial feel because of the nearby factories, but the township itself is actually quite green and leafy. Most of us who work here or live in the area are used to the smell of the river and the sound of the plants working in the distance. The school has been part of this community for a long time. A lot of the parents who bring their kids here actually went to this same school when they were young. It has that old-fashioned look with long stone corridors and really big windows. We have a lot of space outside, which is something you don't see much these days. There are big mango trees where the kids hang out and eat their tiffin during the lunch break. The morning assembly is usually quite loud because we have so many students gathered together. We don’t have fancy new gadgets or tablets in every room, but we have enough books and a decent blackboard that we use every day. Life here moves at its own steady pace. We follow the township schedule for the most part. When the factory whistle blows, everyone in the school knows exactly what time it is. It’s a very tight-knit group of people. Most of the teachers live just a few blocks away in the quarters. It's just a regular part of life here.
