Working over on Wellingdon Island has its own feel to it, different from the rest of Cochin. We are over at No.24/1374 in the Voltas Compound. It’s on Venkitaraman Road, which is a name you get used to saying pretty often. Choice Intermodal Services Wilington Island is a bit of a long name to say, but that’s us. The compound is a busy place, lots of people moving around and trucks coming through. It’s not exactly a quiet office park, but it works for what we do. You see the same faces every day, people just trying to get through their shift. Our spot in the compound is simple. We don't have fancy furniture or big art on the walls, just the stuff we need to get the job done. Sometimes the heat on the island gets a bit much, but we have our ways of staying cool. People usually know the Voltas Compound so they don't have a hard time finding the door. It’s a practical location, being where all the action is. We just keep our heads down and handle the tasks as they come. There’s no big secret to it, just staying organized and being at the desk when the phone rings. It’s a real working environment, no frills, just the daily grind in a place that knows what hard work looks like. We’ve been here a good while now and it feels like home.
