We are a group of farmers who decided it was better to be a producer company than to work all on our own. Raiganj is a place where agriculture is everything. Most people here have some connection to the land and the crops. Our office at Vill-PO-Hatiakalitala is basically a room where we get together to talk about prices and seeds. We don't have a website or a big marketing team to show off. It’s just Binay and the rest of us trying to make a living from the crops we grow. Sometimes the harvest is plenty and we are all happy, other times it’s a struggle. That is the life of a farmer and we accept it. We handle the collection and the sales ourselves so we don't have to rely on too many middlemen. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road but everyone in the village knows where Binay’s house is. We use the name Fiam for the legal stuff but to the locals we are just the guys from the neighborhood working the fields. We started this because we wanted a bit more control over our own work and our future. It is simple, honest farming and trade happening right here in Raiganj every day.
