Agrani Nari Kallyan Farmer Producer Company Limited

You can find us in the Sahebghata area of Ragunathpur, which is part of Kaliyaganj in Uttar Dinajpur. We are a group of women farmers who decided to organize ourselves under the name Agrani Nari Kallyan. It is a way for us to have more control over what we grow and how we sell it. Farming in Uttar Dinajpur has its own set of challenges, from the soil quality to getting the right supplies at the right time. We spend our days out in the fields and then meet up to handle the company paperwork. It is not a big, polished operation. Our office is just a simple place in the village where we can talk and store some things. We focus on the crops that people around here need and that grow well in our climate. It is hard work, and we do not always get it right, but we keep trying. We do not use a lot of fancy business language because that is not who we are. We are just local women trying to improve our situation through the work we are already doing. Most of us have been farming since we were young. Joining together as a producer company was just the next logical step. It keeps us busy all year round, between the planting, the harvesting, and the meetings we have to hold in Ragunathpur. We just keep moving forward.
