We spend most of our time in the fields around Subhaspally. It’s a rural area and we like it that way. Bishnupada Biswas helps keep things organized at the village office. We don't have a corporate building, just a simple place where we meet. The work involves a lot of manual labor and keeping track of the seasons. Uttar Dinajpur has its own way of doing things, and we fit into that local rhythm. We aren't interested in being flashy. Most of our days are spent checking on the crops or talking to other farmers in the block. We deal with whatever challenges the land gives us. It’s an honest way to live. It’s just us, working together in our little corner of the world. We've been here for a while and don't plan on going anywhere. It is home for us.
