Nagina Hair Cutting Saloon

Nagina Hair Cutting Saloon is located right on the Main Road in Jharia, Dhanbad. We are in the Phularibad area. Being in a place like Dhanbad, things can get a bit dusty with all the coal and movement around here. My shop is a simple one-room setup. I’ve got the old-fashioned barber chairs that are heavy and made of iron. They’ve been here almost as long as I have. The walls have a few posters of different hair styles that are quite old now, but nobody really looks at them. Most men just come in and say they want the usual. I spend my days with the sound of the main road traffic right outside the door. It’s noisy and there’s always a lot of honking, but I don't really notice it anymore. I keep a bucket of water and a mug for shaving because sometimes the tap is a bit slow. We use simple soap and sharp razors. People from all over Jharia stop by when they are passing through the main road. I don't have a fancy sign, just the name Nagina painted on the glass. It’s a tough town but the people are good. We talk about the mines or the local politics while I work. Sometimes I close up early if it’s too hot or if there’s a power cut, which happens a lot. It’s just a normal hair cutting saloon for the working men of Dhanbad.
