Chun Chun Hair Cuttin Salon

Chun Chun Hair Cuttin Salon is my small shop in Jharia. We are located in the Baniyahir Hanuman Sari area, right near the Hanuman Mandir. Since Dhanbad has so many coal mines, it gets very dusty, so I spend a lot of my time wiping down the mirrors and the glass. I have had this salon for many years now. It is just a small room where local men come to get a haircut or a shave. The name is simple, but everyone in the neighborhood knows it. I don't have any air conditioning because it's too expensive, so I just use a big ceiling fan that helps a bit. Most of my customers are workers or people living in the small lanes around here. They come in and we talk about whatever is happening in the town while I work. It’s a very basic setup with a few bottles of hair oil and some powder on a shelf. The chair makes a little noise when I adjust it, but it’s solid. I like being near the temple because there's always someone walking past the door. I have a small calendar with pictures of gods on the wall. It’s just an honest way for me to earn a living in Jharia. I don't try to be fancy.
