Maa Shakti Beauty Parlour

Maa Shakti Beauty Parlour is located right on Chandmari Road in the Dhansar area. If you live around Joraphatak, you probably seen our sign. It has been there for several years now. I am the owner and I usually stay at the shop from morning until late evening. Dhanbad is a dusty place so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and the counters. We do all the usual things like eyebrow threading and hair coloring. Some girls come in for bridal makeup too. We have a few rooms in the back for privacy. It’s not a corporate chain or anything like that. It is just a local business run by local people. Sometimes we have tea together with the customers if it is a slow day. The chairs are comfortable enough but they are not brand new. We use products that people trust. My helpers are young girls from nearby who wanted to learn the work. We don't have a big website or fancy stuff. People just know where we are. If you are walking down Chandmari Road, you can't miss us. We try to be honest with everyone about how long the wait will be. It’s a busy life here in Dhansar but we like it. The shop is our second home really. We just keep doing what we do every single day without making a big fuss about it.
