Kolkata Hair Cutting Saloon

Our shop, Kolkata Hair Cutting Saloon, is tucked away in Loyabad. We are right near the Loyabad Thana, so it is easy to find us if you are in the Bansjora area of Dhanbad. It is a busy part of town with a lot of people moving around. We’ve been cutting hair here for many years. It isn’t a place with air conditioning or soft music. It is just a regular saloon where men come to get cleaned up. We use traditional razors and scissors. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast on a Saturday, but we try to keep it clean. People come here because they know we don’t charge too much. It is a fair price for a fair cut. Many of our customers work in the local industries around Dhanbad. They don’t want anything fancy, just a decent look so they can go about their day. We know most of the families in Bansjora. My father taught me how to handle the shears, and now I am here doing the same thing. The shop sign is a bit faded from the sun, but everyone knows it is us. We don’t have a website or any of those things. If you need a haircut, you just show up and wait your turn. Sometimes there is a bit of a queue, but we work fast. It’s just how things are at the saloon. We keep the shop open as long as there is work to do.
