Sahyadri English Medium High School

Sahyadri English Medium High School is on 100 Feet Road in the Rajendra Nagar area of Shimoga. It's a busy part of town with a lot of traffic passing by. The school is a high school, so we deal with teenagers mostly. That comes with its own set of challenges, as anyone who has been around that age group knows. The building is a multi-story structure and we use every bit of space we have. From the science lab to the regular classrooms, things stay pretty packed during the day. We have a lot of teachers who have been with us for many years. They know the families around here well. We don't bother with polished mission statements or corporate slogans. Our focus is just on the syllabus and making sure the students pass their exams. The bell rings, the kids change classes, and there’s a lot of chatter in the hallways. It’s a normal high school environment. We have a small staff room where we try to get some grading done between lessons. Sometimes the road outside gets very loud, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We try to keep the parents updated on how their kids are doing, but it’s usually just a quick chat or a simple note. It’s a straightforward school for the local community here in Shimoga. We just keep the routine going and hope for the best for every student who passes through our doors.
